DRUG ABUSE

Home

Along with being involved with the drug paraphernalia business, drug abuse is condoned at the "Austin Art Farm".

In fact when I first moved to the "Austin Art Farm" the normal days activities included (but not limited to) getting high, playing video games, eating Ramen, getting high, playing more video games, surfing the Internet, getting high, and sleeping.

Pot was the drug of choice at that time and there was always plenty of it, but you would think that someone involved in the production of drug paraphernalia would think twice about having so much marijuana around, but that never seemed to bother Adam because he was one of the people doing it.

It is safe to estimate that they spent at least 2 hours out of every day getting high, 8 hours playing video games, another 6 hours on the Internet, and the rest was divided up between eating and sleeping.

Now, don't get me wrong I have no problem with what people do with their lives so long as it does not effect my life, and that is exactly what caused me to leave the "Austin Art Farm" in January.

People have all sorts of allergies.

I love peanuts, I love peanut butter, and could not for the life of me fathom that a person could possibly be allergic to peanuts, but truth is that there are people that are allergic to peanuts and could die if they are fed peanuts or other peanut products.

There are people that can not eat shrimp or similar types of foods because they would die if they did, but these are facts that everyone knows and avoids causing harm to those that have such allergies.

My allergy, I am allergic to marijuana.

Yes, you read that correctly I am allergic to marijuana and found out the hard way back in May of 1987 when on the road, and found myself in a strange city in a strange hospital on a ventilator, and unable to breathe normally because the effects of the allergic reaction caused my throat to close up.

Since then I have let everyone I know that smoke marijuana know that I am deathly allergic to it and that all I ask is that they respect my right to life and not smoke it around me, in fact Adam was there in 1998 in Fayetteville when I had a reaction when Jeremy was blowing smoke through the vents in the house trying to see if what I said was true.

This is what I have put up with over the past 20 years since finding this out, people not believing that a person could be allergic to marijuana, and this was more prevalent at the "Austin Art Farm" because of the drug abuse that takes place there.

Several times things came to a head because people were disrespecting me and my right to life, and felt that their choice to smoke pot took precedent over my right to live.

Adam always tried to make it out to be my fault by saying "well, you chose to live here", and all it was is a convenient way to avoid responsibility for their disrespect.

In the year I lived at the "Austin Art Farm" I made concession after concession, compromise after compromise to respect these people and accommodate their choice to abuse drugs, but it was a one way street since they never respected me or my right to life.
